XClause + ConnectWise
The short answer
Keep ConnectWise. Add XClause's contract layer.
ConnectWise runs your service business: tickets, time, agreements, and billing all live in the PSA, and your team already works out of the board every day. XClause is not here to change that. It adds the one layer a PSA was never meant to own: turning a scope of work into a signable, MSP-specific contract and then keeping that agreement alive through signature, invoicing, and renewal.
With the live ConnectWise integration connected, the two systems stay in step. Your clients and your agreements are linked across both, so you draft an SOW in XClause against the same client you serve in ConnectWise, send it for signature, and never re-key the same account into a second system. ConnectWise stays the PSA of record; XClause becomes where the contract itself gets built, signed, and tracked.
What XClause adds on top of ConnectWise
ConnectWise runs the service relationship well. These are the contract-side jobs it leaves on the table, and the ones XClause handles.
MSP-specific, attorney-drafted templates
Start from MSAs and service agreements written for managed services, not a blank document or a generic legal template. The starting language already speaks the way MSPs sell.
Guided SOW builder with managed units
Build statements of work around managed units (endpoints, users, sites, seats) instead of retyping scope into a ticket note. The SOW is a real document, not a memo stapled to an agreement.
Built-in e-signature with an audit trail
Send for signature and capture a tamper-evident audit trail inside XClause. No separate e-signature subscription to wire into your ConnectWise workflow.
Invoicing from a signed SOW
Turn a signed statement of work into an invoice in a click, so what the client agreed to is exactly what gets billed. No re-keying scope from the agreement into a separate tool.
Renewal tracking dashboard
See every agreement and its renewal date in one dashboard so nothing auto-renews or lapses while you were heads-down in the board.
Client portal & onboarding
Give each client a branded place to review, sign, and find their agreements, with a guided onboarding flow that runs alongside the work already tracked in ConnectWise.
What stays connected
The XClause ↔ ConnectWise integration is live. Here is the honest scope of what it keeps in sync, and what it deliberately does not touch.
Clients and companies stay connected. Your client list lines up across both systems, so the account you support in ConnectWise is the same account you contract with in XClause, with no duplicate records to reconcile by hand.
Contracts and agreements stay connected. The agreements you build and sign in XClause stay linked to the matching client records, so your contract picture and your PSA picture point at the same relationship instead of drifting apart.
One honest caveat: the sync keeps clients and agreements connected, but it does not write invoice line-item quantities back into ConnectWise billing. That write-back is not a live capability. XClause can generate invoices from a signed SOW on its own side; treat ConnectWise as the system of record for PSA billing. For the current, exact scope of what flows where, see the integrations page.
